Fail!

Tonight Landon went to bed early and I was in the mood to make something so I decided to paint a sign for the kitchen. I had a piece of canvas and some paint. I chose to paint the canvas green and with pink (my kitchen is all pink!), I was going to write "pantry" and hang it above the pantry. Cute, right? Well just as I was finishing Jonathan walks in and says "panty"? I totally forgot the "r"!!! Haha. Now I have a wonderful sign that says "panty"..... Fail.

The good news is, I repainted it and I'm just waiting for it to dry now. :)

What I should wear for a 50's theme ladies night out?

I need YOUR help! On Thursday our church is having our monthly Ladies Night Out and it is 50's themed. I am way excited about it but I have a girls worst nightmare....nothing to wear!!!`I would love to hear/see your ideas! I need to decide what to wear as well as how to get it or make it for cheep. :) Hmm...maybe if I go with your idea, I'll send you a gift in the mail?!

Bedtime is Precious Time

I was putting Landon to bed last night and we were both laying in the bed (he sleeps with us most nights while he's still young). I was patting his back but he kept on lifting up his head and smiling at me. My heart melted. There was no way I could even be frustrated. I realized that I wanted time to stand still right then. He is my precious baby boy that I love and adore. I know that someday he will be in his own bed, in his own room, and eventually in his own home. So I let him continue to roll over, and smile, and say his little sounds for about 20 minutes and then he drifted off to sleep....It doesn't get any sweeter than that.

Sunny With a High of 75

Saturday was supposed to be 75 and sunny....but here in Washington anything can happen... It turned out to be about 50 and cloudy and rainy (then cloudy, then rainy, then cloudy, then drizzling, then cloudy, then pouring!). We had been planning all week to spend the weekend as a family doing things outside so in the morning we headed to a park near the water but it was just too icky outside so we......went to CABELA'S instead! :) This definitely cracked my family up when they heard considering I usually have nothing to do with hunting, sports, camping...etc. But Jonathan and I had never been, we're in the area anyways, and were determined to have a good family day. I have to admit, it was pretty cool! That store is huge! They have a little aquarium with all kinds of fish swimming around that Landon loved! They also have a resaurant where we ate lunch and on our way out we stopped by their "fudge shop". Too funny that we went to Cabela's and all we purchased was some fudge? :)

Today (Sunday), however, was GORGEOUS! In fact, sunny and 75 degrees. After Church we went through the McDonald's drive through and took our "picnic" lunch to the park by the lake and walked around. We had such a good time as a family! I can't wait til Landon is older and can walk too and play on the toys. And an added bonus, I got some exercise and a nice tan! :)

Seventh Heaven

We have reached the 7th month mark with Landon, and let me tell ya, it couldn't be better! He is in a whole new developmental stage. It amazes me how much he is growing and learning. He now is taking 2 good naps each day, is rolling over like nobody's business, eating solid foods, clicking his tongue (so cute!), and grooves to music! :) His favorite things are jumping in his bouncer and taking baths. Since he loves the water so much we're going to try to sign him up for swimming classes at the Y next week. He also loves to watch toddlers and all the goofy things they do. He is totally fascinated by them. We haven't been up to much lately but we are definitely in the planning stages of some fun summer mini-vacations! The weather is starting to get warmer and today it is just absolutely gorgeous out!

As for Landon's parents....Jonathan is busy working and getting ready for a hike with the guys next weekend. Oh, and softball season starts in a couple weeks! I can't wait to take Landon to some of the games, he even has a cute little baseball outfit. :) And I've kept busy taking care of Landon, hanging out with the girls and kiddo's from our MOM's group, and trying to learn how to create new things from my friend Disney's blog (http://www.rufflesandstuff.com). She is so creative and talented! I've also been thinking of new ways to promote our cloth diaper business (http://www.epersgpers.com). I'm so excited about this opportunity!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Love from Danielle, Jonathan, and Landon!
